MEET CHERYL PRICE
I attended an Alpha course in 1997 with aim of proving that God does not exist...or that if he does he is not a good God cos the world is too messed up! However at the end of the course God revealed himself to me in a powerful way.....and I could not deny his existence anymore! I threw myself into serving him, desperate for others to know this amazing God who had pulled me out of a pit. I then began a long journey of getting to know the true character of God and beginning to accept that maybe he loved me ...and dared to believe he may even have a purpose for my life!
Shortly after becoming a believer I met and captured (after a long pursuit) the most delicious man in the universe! We have been married for 15years and he is definitely never going to escape my grip! We have 4 children who I’m also crazy about! Mark and I were given the exciting privilege of leading Junction from the very beginning. We gathered a wonderful team.....and grew from there....with many huge joys and mistakes along the way!! We have the responsibility of ‘family’ within Junction. I am passionate about the healing power of God. My heart is to reach the bruised and broken and give a message of hope. Having experienced God’s amazing restorative and transforming power in my own life, I long for wounds to be healed and chains to be broken so that hearts and minds can be SET FREE and people can walk in their true identities.
Having devalued women for many years through misinterpretation of scripture, I am also passionate about conveying the truth of what God says in the hope that women will walk in their true identity and take up their place alongside men within God’s army!
Before laying human eggs I worked with abused children and troubled teenagers. I have completed a 3 year modular school in healing and discipleship and am now training and practising as a counsellor. I am aiming to specialise in abuse, trauma and life-controlling issues such as eating disorders and self-harm. I am passionate about raising awareness and joining the fight against human trafficking.
I love reading, writing, hugs, being silly, the ocean, drinking champagne and preaching! (not in order of importance!!) I love also drama and am passionate about drawing together as a community and putting on annual pantomimes or musicals!
